What is Stress Awareness Day?
National Stress Awareness Day was set up by Carole Spiers of the International Stress Management Association to make stress something people notice, name and manage. Held on the first Wednesday of November, it asks workplaces and families to look at the pressures people carry — and at simple tools such as journaling, breathing and clear boundaries that take the strain off. The day grew out of a global stress crisis that costs lives as well as productivity.
