World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day
Neglected no more.

When is World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day?
Every year on January 30.
What is World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day?
World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day on January 30 was recognised by the World Health Assembly in 2021 and recalls the London Declaration on Neglected Tropical Diseases, signed on that date in 2012. Around twenty diseases, among them leprosy, dengue, sleeping sickness, river blindness and trachoma, affect more than a billion people, mostly in the poorest communities with little access to clean water and health care. Most are preventable and treatable, and on the day landmarks around the world are lit up while health groups campaign for the funding and medicines needed to end them.
