Magh Bihu
Carry the fire home.

When is Magh Bihu?
From January 14 to January 15.
What is Magh Bihu?
Magh Bihu, also called Bhogali Bihu, is the harvest festival of Assam in northeast India, celebrated in mid-January when the granaries are full. On the night before, called Uruka, families and friends build temporary huts called bhelaghar from bamboo and straw and share a great feast. At dawn they burn the meji, a tall bonfire, offering prayers for the year ahead, and the days are filled with rice cakes called pitha, traditional games and buffalo fights in some areas.
