What is Zagreb Advent?
Advent in Zagreb turns the Croatian capital into a Christmas market that spreads across its squares, parks and streets from late November to early January. Visitors find wooden stalls selling mulled wine, sausages and fritule doughnuts, an ice rink at King Tomislav Square, concerts and a lights display in Zrinjevac park. Readers of the travel website European Best Destinations voted it the best Christmas market in Europe three years running, from 2016 to 2018.
