When is All Saints' Day?
Every year on November 1.
What is All Saints' Day?
All Saints' Day on November 1 honours all Christian saints, known and unknown. The feast was fixed on this date in Rome in the 8th century and spread across the Western Church in the following decades. In many Catholic countries it is a public holiday when families visit cemeteries, clean graves and leave flowers and candles, often chrysanthemums.
