Real Bread Week
Bake it. Buy local. Skip the factory.

When is Real Bread Week?
From February 15 to February 21.
What is Real Bread Week?
Real Bread Week, observed during the last full week of February, is the annual campaign of the Real Bread Campaign — part of the UK charity Sustain — encouraging people to bake their own bread at home and to buy real bread from independent local bakeries. Launched in 2010, the week asks a simple question: if your loaf doesn't need a factory to exist, why not make it yourself, or buy it from someone who did? Across the UK, bakeries host open days, sourdough classes and loaf-swaps, while home ovens fill the country with the smell of fermenting dough.
