National Freedom Day
Freedom is everyone's inheritance.

When is National Freedom Day?
Every year on February 1.
What is National Freedom Day?
National Freedom Day on February 1 marks the day in 1865 when President Abraham Lincoln signed the joint resolution of Congress proposing the 13th Amendment, which abolished slavery in the United States once it was ratified later that year. The observance was championed by Major Richard R. Wright Sr., who had been born into slavery, and President Harry Truman signed it into law in 1948. It opens Black History Month and is marked with readings, wreath-layings and talks on the long struggle for civil rights.
