What is Hala Febrayer?
Hala Febrayer, Arabic for Hello February, is Kuwait's month-long festival, built around the country's two biggest national holidays. National Day on February 25 and Liberation Day on February 26, which marks the end of the Iraqi occupation in 1991, are the high point of a month of concerts, markets, carnival parades and shopping promotions. Kuwaitis decorate cars and homes in the national colours, families crowd the seafront and the festival draws visitors from across the Gulf.
