Beauty in pattern and light.

When is International Day of Islamic Art?
Every year on November 18.
What is International Day of Islamic Art?
The International Day of Islamic Art was proclaimed by UNESCO in 2019 and is celebrated on November 18. It honours more than fourteen centuries of art from Spain to Indonesia, including calligraphy, geometric tile work, carpets, metalwork, book illumination and architecture such as the Alhambra and the great mosques of Istanbul. Museums and cultural centres mark it with exhibitions, workshops in calligraphy and tile painting, and talks on the shared heritage of the Islamic world.
