World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day
Vaccinate, screen, treat.

When is World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day?
Every year on November 17.
What is World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day?
World Cervical Cancer Elimination Day on November 17 marks the launch, on that date in 2020, of the WHO strategy to eliminate cervical cancer as a public health problem. Cervical cancer is almost entirely caused by the human papillomavirus and is one of the most preventable cancers, yet it still kills hundreds of thousands of women a year. The strategy's 90-70-90 targets call for vaccinating girls against HPV, screening women regularly and treating those diagnosed, and the day is marked with awareness drives and screening campaigns.
