International Kite Day
Let the wind take it.

When is International Kite Day?
Every year on January 14.
What is International Kite Day?
International Kite Day on January 14 grew out of Uttarayan, the kite festival of Gujarat in India, held at Makar Sankranti when the sun begins its northward journey. Across Ahmedabad and other cities, people spend the whole day on rooftops flying kites and trying to cut each other's strings, and the city hosts an International Kite Festival with flyers from many countries. Kite traditions also thrive from China, where kites were invented, to Afghanistan, Brazil and Japan.
