National Human Trafficking Awareness Day
Wear blue, speak up.

When is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day?
Every year on January 11.
What is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day?
National Human Trafficking Awareness Day on January 11 was established in the United States by a Senate resolution in 2007, and January is also National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Trafficking traps people in forced labour, domestic servitude and sexual exploitation, often through debt, deception or threats, and victims can be found in farms, factories, homes and online. The Department of Homeland Security's Blue Campaign asks people to wear blue on the day and learn the signs, and to report suspicions to a hotline.
