What is World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence?
The World Day for the Prevention of and Healing from Child Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Violence was established by the UN General Assembly in 2022 and is marked on November 18. It aims to bring the subject out of silence, so that children learn they can speak up and adults learn to recognise the signs. The day also stresses support for survivors on the long path to healing and the need to hold abusers to account.
