Lest we forget.

Today
Remembrance Day / Veterans Day

When is Remembrance Day / Veterans Day?

Every year on November 11.

What is Remembrance Day / Veterans Day?

November 11 marks the armistice that ended the fighting of the First World War at the eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month of 1918. In the UK and Commonwealth it is Remembrance Day, with two minutes' silence at 11 a.m. and red poppies inspired by the poem In Flanders Fields. In the United States it has been called Veterans Day since 1954 and honours everyone who has served in the armed forces.
