Africa Industrialization Day

When is Africa Industrialization Day?

Every year on November 20.

What is Africa Industrialization Day?

Africa Industrialization Day on November 20 was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1989. It focuses on helping African countries move from exporting raw materials to processing them and manufacturing goods at home, creating jobs and adding value to their economies. Governments, the African Union and the UN industrial development agency mark it with forums on manufacturing, trade, energy and skills for young workers.
