World Television Day
TV: A Window to the World.

When is World Television Day?
Every year on November 21.
What is World Television Day?
World Television Day on November 21 was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 1996, the year the first World Television Forum met at the UN on that date. The day is not meant to celebrate the screen itself but television's power to inform, to bring distant conflicts and crises into people's homes, and to shape public debate. Broadcasters and media schools use it to reflect on public-service journalism, children's programming and trust in the news.
