When is National Day Brunei?
Every year on February 23.
What is National Day Brunei?
Brunei National Day, called Hari Nasional and observed on February 23, marks the country's full independence from the United Kingdom in 1984, when Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah read the Proclamation of Independence to gathered crowds in Bandar Seri Begawan. The day is commemorated with a grand parade, traditional music and dance, fireworks, and speeches that look both backward at the nation's history and forward to its future.
