Celebrating Art and Freedom.

When is Culture Day (Japan)?
Every year on November 3.
What is Culture Day (Japan)?
Culture Day (Bunka no Hi) on November 3 is a national holiday in Japan dedicated to culture, freedom and peace. The date was the birthday of Emperor Meiji, and Japan's postwar constitution was proclaimed on November 3, 1946; the holiday took its present name in 1948. The Emperor presents the Order of Culture to leading artists and scholars, and museums, schools and towns hold exhibitions, festivals and parades.
