International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists
Truth should not cost a life.

When is International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists?
Every year on November 2.
What is International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists?
The International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2013. Its date recalls the killing of two French journalists, Ghislaine Dupont and Claude Verlon, in Mali on November 2 of that year. UNESCO, which leads the day, reports that in most killings of journalists no one is ever convicted, and it uses the day to press governments to investigate and prosecute.
