International Doge Day
Do only good everyday.
When is International Doge Day?
Every year on November 2.
What is International Doge Day?
International Doge Day on November 2 celebrates Kabosu, the Shiba Inu from Japan whose sideways glance became the Doge meme. Her owner, kindergarten teacher Atsuko Sato, posted the photo on her blog in 2010, and it spread around the world with captions in broken, cheerful English. Kabosu died in 2024, and fans now mark her birthday by sharing Doge memes, donating to animal charities and repeating her motto, Do Only Good Everyday.
