India Republic Day
Jai Hind! (Victory to India!)

When is India Republic Day?
Every year on January 26.
What is India Republic Day?
Republic Day on January 26 celebrates the day in 1950 when the Constitution of India came into force and the country became a republic. The date was chosen because on January 26, 1930, the Indian National Congress had declared Purna Swaraj, the goal of complete independence from British rule. In New Delhi the President takes the salute at a grand parade along Kartavya Path, with military units, state tableaux and folk dancers, and a foreign leader usually attends as chief guest.
