What is Harbin Ice Festival?
The Harbin Ice Festival is China's premier winter spectacle, held annually from late December through February in the sub-zero city of Harbin. Massive ice and snow sculptures — some the size of multi-story buildings — are carved and illuminated with colored lights, drawing millions of visitors to see the world's largest ice festival. The festival includes the Harbin Ice and Snow World, ice swimming competitions, and Siberian Tiger Park visits, transforming one of China's coldest cities into a luminous winter kingdom.
