What is Gift of Sight Month?
Gift of Sight Month in December encourages people to look after their eyes and to help others get the eye care they need. The World Health Organization estimates that at least a billion people have a vision problem that could have been prevented or has not yet been treated, often for lack of a simple eye test or a pair of glasses. The month is a reminder to book a routine eye exam and to support charities that provide glasses and cataract surgery.
