International Anti-Cybercrime Day
Stay safe online.

When is International Anti-Cybercrime Day?
Every year on December 24.
What is International Anti-Cybercrime Day?
The International Day against Cybercrime on December 24 marks the anniversary of the adoption, in 2024, of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime, the first global treaty on the subject. Online fraud, ransomware, identity theft and the abuse of children online cross borders easily, so investigating them depends on cooperation between countries. The day raises awareness of how to stay safe online, from strong passwords and two-factor authentication to recognising scams, which often spike during the holiday season.
