Armistice Day (France)
Never Forget. Never Again.

When is Armistice Day (France)?
Every year on November 11.
What is Armistice Day (France)?
Armistice Day in France marks November 11, 1918, when the armistice signed in a railway carriage in the forest of Compiègne came into force at 11 a.m., ending the fighting of the First World War. It has been a public holiday in France since 1922 and is also a national holiday in Belgium. Ceremonies take place at war memorials in every town, and the President lays a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier beneath the Arc de Triomphe.
