Boxing Day
Rest, play, celebrate.
When is Boxing Day?
Every year on December 26.
What is Boxing Day?
Boxing Day on December 26 is a public holiday in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and other Commonwealth countries. Its name is usually traced to the Victorian custom of giving servants, tradespeople and the poor a Christmas box of money or gifts the day after Christmas. Today it is a day for family visits and leftovers, a full programme of football and horse racing, cricket's Boxing Day Test in Melbourne, and big post-Christmas sales.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
