Adelaide Fringe, held annually in Adelaide, Australia from mid-February through mid-March, is the Southern Hemisphere's largest open-access arts festival. Founded in 1960 by artists seeking an alternative to the more traditional Adelaide Festival, it features thousands of performances across comedy, theatre, music, dance, and visual arts in venues ranging from grand theaters to pop-up bars and street corners.
