World Kiwanis Week
Serving children, changing the world.
When is World Kiwanis Week?
From January 21 to January 26.
What is World Kiwanis Week?
World Kiwanis Week, from January 21 to 26, marks the founding of Kiwanis on January 21, 1915, in Detroit, Michigan, as a club of local businessmen. It has since become Kiwanis International, a global network of volunteer clubs whose mission is to improve the lives of children, through projects such as reading programmes, playgrounds and campaigns against iodine deficiency and maternal and neonatal tetanus. During the week, clubs hold service projects, open meetings and thank-you events for their members.
