National Vegetarian Week
Try a few meatless meals. Notice what changes.

When is National Vegetarian Week?
From May 18 to May 24.
What is National Vegetarian Week?
National Vegetarian Week, observed the week of May 18–24, is the UK's annual nudge from the Vegetarian Society — the world's oldest vegetarian organization, founded in 1847 — to try a few more meat-free meals and to notice what happens when you do. Started in 1992, the week is built around community events, cooking classes, recipe swaps and restaurant partnerships that show plant-based eating can be as hearty, varied and satisfying as anything centred on meat, while pointing to the health, environmental and animal-welfare arguments for shifting a few dinners a week. The week also gives restaurants, schools and workplaces a shared moment to put plant-based dishes at the front of the menu and to show that eating more vegetables is as much about pleasure and culture as it is about health.
