National Foster Care Month
Every child deserves a place to belong.

When is National Foster Care Month?
From May 1 to May 31.
What is National Foster Care Month?
National Foster Care Month in May recognises the foster parents, relatives, social workers and mentors who care for children who cannot live safely with their own families. More than 300,000 children are in foster care in the United States on any given day, and many wait years for a permanent home. Proclaimed by presidents since 1988, the month encourages people to become foster parents, volunteer as court-appointed advocates, or support the families who open their homes.
