When is Jewish American Heritage Month?
From May 1 to May 31.
What is Jewish American Heritage Month?
Jewish American Heritage Month celebrates in May the contributions Jewish Americans have made to the United States since the first Jewish community arrived in New Amsterdam in 1654. President George W. Bush first proclaimed it in 2006, after Congress passed resolutions supporting it, and every president since has renewed it. Museums, libraries and communities mark it with exhibitions, talks and events about Jewish history, arts and culture in America.
