When is International Day of UN Peacekeepers?
Every year on May 29.
What is International Day of UN Peacekeepers?
The International Day of UN Peacekeepers on May 29 marks the first peacekeeping mission, launched in 1948. It honours the men and women who serve in conflict zones to protect civilians, watch ceasefires, escort aid and help communities rebuild. On this day the UN usually honours the fallen and celebrates the service of those still in the field.
