International Animal Rights Day

When is International Animal Rights Day?

Every year on December 10.

What is International Animal Rights Day?

International Animal Rights Day on December 10 was started in 1998 by the British animal rights group Uncaged, choosing the same day as Human Rights Day. Its organisers argue that animals, too, can suffer and deserve protection from cruelty and exploitation. People mark it with vigils, information stands and choices such as cruelty-free products and plant-based meals.

How to celebrate

Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
