Holy Innocents Day
Remember the youngest martyrs.
- Christian

When is Holy Innocents Day?
Every year on December 28.
What is Holy Innocents Day?
Holy Innocents' Day on December 28 remembers the young boys of Bethlehem whom, according to the Gospel of Matthew, King Herod ordered killed in his attempt to destroy the infant Jesus. The Western churches honour them as the first martyrs, while Orthodox churches mark the feast on December 29. In Spain and much of Latin America the day has a lighter side as the Día de los Santos Inocentes, when people play pranks much like April Fools' Day.
