Fire, feet, and tiny umbrellas.
Today
When is Frevo Day?
Every year on February 9.
What is Frevo Day?
Frevo Day on February 9 honours the high-energy dance and music born in the streets of Recife, Pernambuco. The date marks the first written use of the word "frevo" in 1907, and today dancers twirl tiny umbrellas and leap through the carnival in dazzling costumes.
