Freethinkers Day
Question everything. Especially yourself.

When is Freethinkers Day?
Every year on January 29.
What is Freethinkers Day?
Freethinkers Day on January 29 marks the birthday of Thomas Paine, born in Thetford, England, in 1737. His pamphlet Common Sense of 1776 rallied American colonists to independence, Rights of Man defended the French Revolution, and The Age of Reason challenged organised religion and made him one of the best-known freethinkers of his time. The day celebrates reason, evidence and the courage to question authority, and is marked with readings from Paine, talks and debates.
