Bonfire Night
Remember, Remember the Fifth of November.

When is Bonfire Night?
Every year on November 5.
What is Bonfire Night?
Bonfire Night, or Guy Fawkes Night, on November 5 recalls the failed Gunpowder Plot of 1605, when a group of Catholic conspirators tried to blow up the House of Lords and kill King James I. Guy Fawkes was caught guarding barrels of gunpowder beneath Parliament, and Londoners lit bonfires to celebrate the king's survival. Across Britain, people still gather for bonfires, fireworks displays, toffee apples and, in some towns, the burning of a straw guy.
