International Anti-Corruption Day
United against corruption.

When is International Anti-Corruption Day?
Every year on December 9.
What is International Anti-Corruption Day?
International Anti-Corruption Day on December 9 was established after the UN General Assembly adopted the United Nations Convention against Corruption in 2003, which opened for signature on this date in Mérida, Mexico. Corruption diverts money from schools, hospitals and infrastructure, weakens trust in institutions and hits the poorest hardest. The day highlights the role of whistleblowers, journalists, courts and ordinary citizens in exposing and preventing it.
