Walt Disney Day
Dreams are made where imagination lives.
When is Walt Disney Day?
Every year on December 5.
What is Walt Disney Day?
Walt Disney Day on December 5 marks the birthday of Walt Disney, born in Chicago in 1901. With his studio he created Mickey Mouse, who appeared with synchronised sound in Steamboat Willie in 1928, and made Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the first full-length cel-animated feature film, in 1937. He later opened Disneyland in 1955, and fans celebrate the day by watching classic films and revisiting the characters he brought to life.
