Sami National Day
Many peoples, one Sápmi.
When is Sami National Day?
Every year on February 6.
What is Sami National Day?
Sami National Day celebrates the culture, identity, and unity of the indigenous Sami people of northern Scandinavia and Russia's Kola Peninsula. It honors their traditional gákti clothing, joik music, language, and art, while raising awareness of their ongoing fight for rights and recognition.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
