Peace Officers Memorial Day
Their watch has ended; our gratitude has not.

When is Peace Officers Memorial Day?
Every year on May 15.
What is Peace Officers Memorial Day?
Peace Officers Memorial Day on May 15 honours the federal, state and local law enforcement officers killed or disabled in the line of duty. President John F. Kennedy signed the law creating it in 1962, and flags across the United States fly at half-staff from sunrise to sunset. Thousands gather at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C., where the names of fallen officers are read aloud.
