National Volunteer Week
Give time, change lives.
When is National Volunteer Week?
From April 20 to April 26.
What is National Volunteer Week?
National Volunteer Week in April thanks the millions of Americans who give their time to food banks, schools, shelters, hospitals and disaster relief. President Richard Nixon established it in 1974, and every president since has proclaimed it. Around one in four Americans volunteers through an organisation each year, and the week invites more people to find a cause and lend a hand.
