International Mountain Day
Mountains can wait. Food cannot.

When is International Mountain Day?
Every year on December 11.
What is International Mountain Day?
International Mountain Day on December 11 has been observed since 2003, following the UN International Year of Mountains in 2002. Mountains cover about a quarter of the Earth's land surface, are home to around 15 percent of the world's people and provide fresh water for roughly half of humanity. The day highlights threats such as climate change and melting glaciers, and promotes sustainable tourism and support for mountain communities.
