What is Constitution Day in Thailand?

Constitution Day in Thailand on December 10 marks 1932, when King Prajadhipok, Rama VII, granted the country's first permanent constitution. It followed the revolution of June that year, which ended absolute monarchy and made Thailand a constitutional monarchy. The day is a public holiday, and government offices, schools and ceremonies honour the constitution and the democratic principles it introduced.
