Miners Day
We live because they dig.

When is Miners Day?
Every year on December 6.
What is Miners Day?
National Miners Day on December 6 honours mine workers in the United States and the risks they take to supply coal, metals and minerals. The date recalls the Monongah mining disaster in West Virginia on December 6, 1907, the deadliest mining accident in American history, which killed hundreds of men and boys. The day remembers those lost in mining accidents and recognises the safety laws that came after them.
