International Day of Neutrality
Neutral ground, open dialogue.

When is International Day of Neutrality?
Every year on December 12.
What is International Day of Neutrality?
The International Day of Neutrality on December 12 was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly in 2017. The date recalls December 12, 1995, when the UN recognised Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, and the day highlights the role neutral states can play in peace. Neutral countries such as Switzerland have long hosted peace talks and humanitarian work, and the day promotes preventive diplomacy and dialogue as ways to stop conflicts before they start.
