When is World Snowboard Day?
Every year on December 21.
What is World Snowboard Day?
World Snowboard Day, held around the start of the northern winter season, invites people to try snowboarding for the first time. Snowboarding grew out of surfing and skateboarding culture in the United States in the 1960s and 1970s and became an Olympic sport at the 1998 Winter Games in Nagano. On the day, resorts and schools in many countries offer free or discounted lessons and gear, and experienced riders share the slopes with beginners.
