When is World Computer Literacy Day?
Every year on December 2.
What is World Computer Literacy Day?
World Computer Literacy Day on December 2 was launched in 2001 by the Indian IT training company NIIT. It draws attention to the digital divide, the gap between people who can use computers and the internet and those who cannot, which often falls along lines of income, age and gender. Schools, libraries and volunteers mark it with free classes that teach basic digital skills, from typing and email to staying safe online.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
