Every year on September 6.
What is Unification Day in Bulgaria?
Unification Day in Bulgaria, observed on September 6th, marks the 1885 unification of the Principality of Bulgaria with the autonomous region of Eastern Rumelia. The peaceful declaration in Plovdiv, led by revolutionary Zahari Stoyanov, united Bulgarian-speaking lands despite opposition from the Great Powers and helped define the modern Bulgarian state.
