Ginger Cat Appreciation Day
Every ginger cat is a little tiger with a big heart.
When is Ginger Cat Appreciation Day?
Every year on September 1.
What is Ginger Cat Appreciation Day?
Ginger Cat Appreciation Day celebrates the unique charm of orange-furred cats — their playful, affectionate personalities and the joy they bring as companions. From their five coat patterns (classic, mackerel, spotted, patched, ticked) to their famously skewed male-to-female ratio of roughly 3:1, ginger cats hold a special place in our homes and hearts, alongside famous fictional felines like Garfield and Puss in Boots.
How to celebrate
Mark the day with a poster made in Dayfeed — pick your favourite photo as the background, share it to your story or group chat, and set a reminder so you never miss it next year.
